UDP’s Leader, Moses Shyne Barrow, has filed an application in the court that if agreed to, would see the Alliance for Democracy and its players banned from continuing with its narrative of an interim party leader. The application was filed yesterday through Barrow’s attorney, Dr Christopher Malcolm. This recent application resonates with the one filed in early December as it relates to the contempt of court highlighted through Tracy Panton’s actions. Essentially, this application is now asking that Panton along with her affiliates and agents be prohibited from issuing releases or statements that refer to a new UDP Headquarters; an interim, present or past party leader; as well as any UDP related business that fall under the purview of the party’s executive. The application is also asking for prohibition of statements that could have the effect or can be reasonably interpreted as having the effect of suggesting to the public there is more than one leader or governance in place of the UDP; and that would undermine Barrow’s leadership. The application is accompanied by an Affidavit of urgency and a request to have both the application for contempt and this recent document to be heard jointly by the court. The respondents listed in the application include the leader of the Alliance for Democracy, Tracy Panton; Phillipa Griffith Bailey, John Saldivar, Sheena Pitts, Orson Elrington, and Hot Off the Press. It is extended to include, quote, “any other representatives, servants, assigns, agents or other persons” End of quote.
