Six Belizean Athletes to Compete in Copa Revolucion Track and Field Competition in Mexico

Six young athletes, including the reigning Queen of the Bay, Kendall Morgan will represent Belize in the 7th annual Copa Revolucion track and field competition in Mexico. The athletes, sponsored by a combination of the Belize Athletic Association, family and small businesses, left the country today for the competition which will take place in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. The athletes are Gina Tejeda, Fred Usher Jr., Kendall Morgan, Donovan Grinage Jr, Juan Portillo, and Jalen O’Brien. Fred Usher Jr. told us about the events they will be competing in.

The athletes mentioned that they have been training all year round for the competition. Morgan spoke to Love News that she feels honored to represent in the competition.

The competition will take place this Friday and Saturday. Viewers at home can tune in to the Running Club Vladymaraton’s Facebook page
