Our newsroom understands that the men were headed to Burrell Boom Village when the driver lost control of the truck near St. Matthews Village. As a result, the vehicle ran off the road and flipped. Cayo Correspondent Fem Cruz spoke to the driver, Auner Ramos and his supervisor, Samuel Flores who was waiting for him at the hospital.

Auner Ramos, Driver: “A work crew was coming toward Burrell Boom and they got a front wheel blowout. I got a call that they got a front wheel blowout so I rushed to Belmopan. I’m in the hospital right now to assist with whatever I could assist.”

Fem Cruz, Cayo Correspondent: Tell us about the injuries that you know about.

Auner Ramos, Driver: “Neck, hand break, and other bruises.”

Fem Cruz, Cayo Correspondent: The driver of the pick up Auner Ramos also spoke to Love News:

Auner Ramos, Driver: “I think that the tire explored and then the car went so to the highway and then a big truck came and I turned the car to the bush.”
