There was a brief scare earlier today at the courthouse in Belize City. The fire broke just after two o’clock this afternoon at the front outside portion of the Supreme Court Building. According to Supervisor at the National Fire Service, Kenneth Mortis the flames were caused by welders, working on the building’s infrastructure, who were a bit careless with a blow torch. Mortis told Love News that the fire was minor and was extinguished shortly after it begun. The extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained.
