Social Security Board Members Stage Go-Slow
Social Security Board Members continue their go-slow to protest the action of their employer. Today was the conciliation date set for the Social Security Board (SSB) Union Members, SSB C.E.O Deborah Ruiz and the Labor department. Ruiz, however, did not attend the meeting. Christian Worker’s Union President, Leonora Flowers says they are leaving the situation in the hands of the labor department.
Union members continue to stand in solidarity in their protest to the special treatment given to an inspector who has not been subjected to transfer for nine years. Chief Union Representative SSB, Ella Waight stated that even though they are disappointed with today’s results, she made it clear that they do not intend to have any strike action.
The union members added that they were grateful to express their concerns under the law to the office of the labor commissioner.
