45-year-old Lourdes Wade, who worked at the Social Security office in Belmopan, was remembered this morning as the staff gathered to pay their respects to her. Cayo Correspondent, Fem Cruz, was there and filed this report.
Fem Cruz, Cayo Correspondent, Love FM News: The staff of the Social Security Board Belmopan branch held a candlelight vigil in memory of their fallen sister Lourdes Wade Hall who tragically lost her life yesterday afternoon in a road traffic accident. The service delivery manager for the SSB, Arnaldo Villas, spoke to Love News.
Arnaldo Villas, Service Delivery Manager, SSB: “The entire Social Security family at headquarters came together this morning in a short prayer service to celebrate the life of our beloved colleague, friend Lourdes Wade Hall. We are here as strong as we can be because it’s a very hard moment, it’s a hard day for us even the weather shows how hard it is and we are going to be strong, we are going to be strong because that is the way Lourdes wanted us to be, that’s the way she would have wanted us to carry on as a team and my staff in particular at the branch who we have been working with her so close are extremely hurt; some had to leave the workplace because of how hard they took this tragic accident but we will be holding strong and doing the bets for our customers as usual but it’s no doubt that everyone, ever single person at Social Security countrywide will miss Lourdes because she was that type of person she was jovial, she was loving, she was the one that would mend the little glitches between people if I can use that word. Of course the bottom line is that every single person will miss Lourdes our beloved colleague.”
