In celebration of Women’s Month, Speaker of the House of Representatives Valerie Woods, via The Morning Show, spoke about the theme of this year’s Women’s Month, “Breaking the Bias”. Woods spoke on the continuous need for greater gender equality in the government executive, and society as a whole.
Woods also spoke about the uphill battle that she has faced in her political career as a woman and how she was able to overcome the many stigmas she faced.
Woods was appointed speaker of the house on December 11, 2020.///
