St. Catherine’s Academy Students Lead Environmental Stewardship through Wavemakers Club Initiatives

Students of St. Catherine’s Academy are making a difference in environmental stewardship through the school’s Wavemakers Club. The club, a youth branch of OCEANA, is spearheading various projects that promote sustainability and community engagement. With a mission to inspire change, club members are dedicating themselves to initiatives that directly benefit both their campus and the surrounding community. Love News spoke with club president, Sabrina Landaverde, on the ongoing projects.

Additionally, the construction of a nursery on campus is currently underway. We spoke with social studies teacher, Jamie Usher as well as Student body President, Amira Castillo about the importance of environmental action.

Through the Wavemakers for Change program, students at St. Catherine’s are encouraged to take an active role in environmental conservation, emphasizing hands-on involvement and youth leadership.
