Stann Creek Resident Accidentally Shoots Himself

38-year-old Alfred Bernard Jr, a farmer of the Old Mullins River Road, in the Stann Creek District lost his life yesterday evening after he reportedly shot himself by accident.  According to police blotter, at around five o’clock yesterday evening, Bernard was exiting his vehicle, picked up his loaded shotgun which reportedly discharged, injuring him. He was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are investigating.
