The dispute involving Aldon Tasher and Carolyn Logan goes back to 2021 and it also centres on about thirty pieces of hardwood logs. Logan told us this week that this aspect of the dispute prevents her access to her property. Because it involves Rodwell Ferguson, Jr., we asked his father, Minister Rodwell Ferguson, Sr. about how his adult son managed to be involved in the first place. He basically deflected the media’s questions, saying that his son can manage his own affairs.
Rodwell Ferguson, Area Representative, Stann Creek West: “They have Rodwell Ferguson Sr and they have Rodwell Ferguson Jr so please clarify who you’re talking about. Rodwell Ferguson Sr cannot apply for any land. So please go and rectify that they are over eighteen years old. They will respond to you based on their own accord I cannot respond for them they are not in my house. That’s not illicit he got a permission from the Forestry Department to remove the log that is legal. Illicit is when you say you do something out of the law.”
Reporter: But three years, not three years but it would have been two years after I’d say or –
Rodwell Ferguson, Area Representative, Stann Creek West: “I said please if you will come here ask me things relating to my ministry I’ll respond to you directly to the best of my ability. When a big man is involved in something go find him wherever he is.”
