Stolen Firearm Resurfaces in Shooting Incident

On September 21, there was a home invasion that occurred in San Ignacio Town at the home of Ismael and Judith Pulido where monies, jewelry and a firearm were stolen.  Over the weekend, that nine millimeter Glock resurfaced in a shooting incident that occurred in San Ignacio Town last Thursday, November 5.  According to Police, they were conducting mobile patrols when they came across two men fighting in a yard.  Upon closer inspection they noticed that 45-year-old, Calvin Leslie of a Santa Cruz address in Santa Elena Town had been shot to his right shoulder.  The man Calvin Leslie was in a struggle with is 27-year-old, Charles Leslie, of Unitedville Village, Cayo District.  Charles Leslie has since been charged with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, kept firearm without a gun license, kept ammunition without a gun license and handling stolen goods.  The firearm used in the shooting was licensed to Ismael Pulido, whose home was the target of a home invasion some three weeks ago.  Police are conducting further investigations into this incident and the home invasion where three masked men had entered Pulido’s home.
