Students at Ebenezer Methodist School Enjoy New Playground Donated by Rotary Clubs

The students at Ebenezer Methodist School in Belize City have been treated to a brand-new playground donated by the Rotary Clubs of Belize and Alberta, Canada. This project is part of a broader initiative aimed at equipping schools with recreational spaces that foster learning, creativity, and play. What makes this playground truly unique is its innovative design: it was assembled using repurposed playground parts left unused from other projects. Francis Woods, Co-chair of the service project team for Rotary Belize spoke to Love News about their club’s ability to make use of all the materials donated.

Educator Dina Avila explained that the school’s administration feared the playground would have been too big to fit on the compound, but the Rotary Club made it happen.

Avila added that it is more than just equipment as statistics show that schools with playgrounds have an enhanced sense of environment.
