Sun Luck Store robbers got away with cash

There was a robbery at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday night in the Orange Walk District. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett , says that the thieves, who had their faces covered, attacked Sun Luck Store and escaped with cash.

A.C.P. Joseph Myvett – Head National Crimes Investigation Branch: “Orange Walk police were called to Sun Luck Store located in the Louisiana area where upon arrival the owner reported to them that sometime around 7:15 pm two Hispanic males entered his shop. Both of whom had their faces covered with cloth and one pointed a firearm at him whilst they demanded money. He apparently was hit with the firearm several times before giving up a disclosed amount of money after which both persons made good their escape. At this point in time police are following several leads but so far we have no one detained in relation to this investigation. Certainly the business community has been advised especially by the community policing unit who does regular foot and bicycle patrols to these areas. There is a specific business patrole in these areas, indeed there is a relationship between the business patrol and these businesses.”
