Suspect Arrested in Connection with 2022 Murder

Police have arrested and charged the main suspect of the April 2022 murder of Jose Miguel Cedillos. Over the weekend, officers apprehended 29-year-old Nelson De Jesus Segovia in Belmopan. The mechanic from Guinea Grass Village stands accused of barging into Cedillos’ home on Good Friday last year and shooting him dead in front of several family members. Segovia had fled the village and evaded officers for over a year.
