Suspicion Arises as Dangriga Home Goes Up in Flames

A mother of four in Dangriga is devastated after her house was set on fire this morning.  32-year-old, Shantel Sabal, explained that the two-storey house was set on fire at around one o’clock this morning, and she believes that her estranged spouse may have been the culprit.  Correspondent Harry Arzu spoke with Sabal earlier today.

Love News understands that it was Sabal’s 13-year-old daughter that woke up to the smell of smoke and found the sofa on fire.  She immediately got her siblings and cousins out of the house and alerted her aunt of the fire.  Sabal and her family are now in need of clothing, food, school supplies and assistance in rebuilding her home.  For those able and willing to help, you can reach Sabal at 676-8002.  Meanwhile, our newsroom understands that the suspected arsonist has been detained by Police./////
