Everything from cultural Taiwanese dishes to bubble tea and technology was on display at the 2023 Taiwan Expo. The three-day event seeks to improve bilateral trade between both countries, as numerous Taiwanese entrepreneurs were able to display their products and services. The annual expo is being hosted this year at the Caribbean Motors showroom, and it is free of charge. Speaking on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council was Goldie Lee, who spoke about the significance of the event.
Among the dozens of people who were able to immerse themselves in the Taiwanese technology and culture, was the country’s Cabinet Secretary, Stuart Leslie, who spoke about the importance of bolstering Belize’s bilateral relationship with Taiwan.

Stuart Leslie, Cabinet Secretary: “This is one other element that we believe is a very good thing where we see all the products that Taiwan has to offer and then we also have the collaboration with Belize some of the stations that I visited today show the collaboration in cooking material and stoves nad so on and some of the new creative things I especially like the idea of the electric motorcycle I can think of something like an electric motorcycle working perfectly on a place like San Pedro where you want to try and keep it more carbon neutral as we say in Belize So yeah I like what we’re doing here today and so we’re glad to be a part of this.”
The expo ends on Friday.
