Taiwanese Delegation Conducts Climate Research in Belize City

A delegation from the Republic of China (Taiwan) was in Belize City today conducting climate research. The Belize City Council hosted the Taiwanese mission, who were joined by representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development.  The mission conducted various site visits across Belize City to areas that are vulnerable to, or already affected by the effects of climate change. The Belize City Council said that the site visits form a part of the ongoing Climate and Ocean Risk Vulnerability Index (CORVI) Research Project, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Economic Development and the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The project gathers essential data on the climate resiliency of coastal cities and helps policymakers to make informed decisions.
