Taiwanese President to arrive in the country on Sunday

On Sunday, the President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), H.E. Tsai Ing-Wen, will arrive for an official visit. President Tsai Ing-Wen will meet with Belize’s Taiwanese community, Prime Minister John Briceño, the Cabinet, and other members of parliament. The three-day visit, which is President Tsai’s second visit to Belize, will include several high-level meetings and a special House of Representatives sitting. Today, Cabinet Secretary Stuart Leslie, explained that the visit solidifies Belize and Taiwan’s diplomatic relations and proves Belize’s commitment to supporting the island nation as a sovereign state.
