Taxi Driver’s License Revoked: Raymond Montes Pleads Guilty to Traffic Offenses

Taxi Driver Raymond Montes pleaded guilty to two traffic offences today which resulted in his driver’s license being revoked for a year. The 50-year-old taxi driver of Police Street in Belize City was caught driving an unlicensed motor vehicle without third party risk insurance. Montes pleaded guilty to both offences and was ordered to pay a fine of $150 for no insurance and $100 for driving an unlicensed motor vehicle.  He has until February 29 to pay. Montes was advised by the court that within 3 months he can apply to the court to have the validity of his license reinstated.
