Police have made a breakthrough in a shooting incident that left a Belize City man injured last month, with formal charges now laid against a teenage suspect.  Reports are that around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, Police responded to information received and visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they encountered 26-year-old Tyrel Andrewin, a Belizean unemployed of a Belize City address, suffering from gunshot wounds.  Initial investigations revealed that Andrewin was inside a Hyundai sedan parked on Plues Street when a vehicle pulled up alongside his vehicle. According to his account, a passenger exited or leaned from the window and opened fire in his direction, causing his injuries.  Following weeks of investigation, police say that yesterday, 18-year-old James Saldano, a Belizean labourer of an M&M Street address, was formally arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm, and Grievous Harm.
