Teen Found Dead in Belize City Cemetery, Possible Feud Connection

Within less than forty-eight hours another teen was murdered in the old Capital. This morning, the lifeless body of 18-year-old Gabriel Tillett was discovered in the Lord Ridge Cemetery. The teen was found covered in blood, and his family believes he was beaten and stabbed to death. Love News understands that police surveillance footage in the area caught Tillett being chased in the direction of the cemetery prior to his death. Police are yet to provide a motive behind the callous murder, but sources indicate that it may be connected to an ongoing feud in the area. Tillett was not in school, but our newsroom understands that earlier in the year, he had signed up for the Department of Youth Service’s Mountain Pine Ridge Youth Challenge. Director of the DYS, Kevin Cadle, explained that Tillett was a promising young man who unfortunately abandoned the program after a few weeks. He says that Tillett’s life could have been saved if he had remained in the program.

Tillett is the second youth to lose his life this week after 16-year-old Jahfeth Stamp was killed on Sunday morning.
