Teen Pleads Guilty to Bicycle Theft in Belize City

18-year-old Jaylon Jones has pleaded guilty to bicycle theft. On Sunday, December 31 at around 6:30 am, allegations are that the construction worker stole a blue and silver 26-inch beach cruiser bicycle valuing $400 from Rondell Samuel’s property. At the time of the incident, Samuels and his neighbor jumped into a vehicle and went looking for Jones where they caught up with him at the Belcan Bridge.  The culprit was detained and taken into custody.  Jones appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrates Court yesterday where he was fined $300 to be paid by February 29, in default, he would serve 3 months in prison. /////
