Teenager Charged with Murder of Belize Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice

A teenager has been formally charged for the murder of Charles James which occurred on Wednesday night in Belize City.  A few minutes ago, the Police PR Department informed the media that 18-year-old, Jaylon Jones has been given his charge sheet and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court.  James, a 25-year-old, Seaman Apprentice of the Belize Coast Guard was shot in the head as he visited his girlfriend on Consuelo Street. Quick response from the Police on Wednesday night led to the apprehension of Jones.
