The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports tonight that ten more Belizeans have lost their lives as a consequence of COVID-19. Today’s statistics also say that there are two hundred and thirty-nine new cases of COVID-19 in the country. The Ministry’s biostatistician, Edgar Nah broke down the figures earlier this evening.
Most of the new cases were reported on the mainland Belize District, which reported fifty-one. Of that amount, thirty-four new cases were in Belize City. Cayo reported 48 while Stann Creek tallied forty-seven. Another forty-cases were reported in Toledo while the northern districts had a combined total of 42. On the upside, there were two hundred and twenty-one recoveries.
