Tensions Flare in Indian Creek Over Controversial Solar Project Inauguration

Villagers in Indian Creek, Toledo District, are at odds over a new solar project slated to be inaugurated next week.  A meeting in the village earlier today saw an upset as some villagers and the alcalde do not agree with the scheduled event.  According to our Senior Correspondent, Paul Mahung, the alcalde and villagers who do not agree with the inauguration date are saying that the project is not completed, and therefore there should be no inauguration.  Love News understands that the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has set October 12 for the event, which has been approved by the Village Chairman.  The meeting had escalated into hard talks which subsequently led to a vote, and threats to replace the alcalde of the village.  The meeting concluded at around five thirty this evening.  We will have more on this story in tomorrow’s newscast.
