The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Belize is extending a to invite Belizeans to be more involved in learning about the Islam community and their contribution to society. As a community that is considered to be predominantly run by men, the women have embarked on a campaign to eradicate this misconception. This morning on The Morning show, Secretary of the Moral Training Women Project, Khadija Hassan, highlighted some of the challenges that Muslim women face.
In yesterday’s broadcast, we highlighted the Women’s event that the Ahmadiyya members will be hosting for women entrepreneurs to support and promote their businesses. The President of the Ahmadiyya Women Project, Maham Ullah, explained that through initiatives like these, the Ahmadiyya community will be able to raise awareness of the value that women provide to society.
The Ahmadiyya Jama’at Belize hopes to have future events like these that are geared at empowering women.
