Last year, the appointment of Kareem Michael as the new Governor of the Central Bank made the news, the selection of a Deputy Governor went largely unnoticed. It was in December that Prime Minister and Minister of Finance John Briceno signed an instrument appointment naming Hollis Parham as the Deputy Governor with effect on December 1. Parham has been working with the bank since February 1984 when he joined a clerical officer. Since then, he has worked as a data processing supervisor and a systems analyst before being promoted to Assistant Manager of the Banking and Currency Department in 1998. He then became Assistant Manager in the Administration Department four years later. Parham, who served as Manager of the Finance Department and Senior Manager of the Corporate Services Division, holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Florida International University (FIU) and a B.S. in computer and information sciences and support services from Polytechnic University.
