The ComPol’s brother is in hot water

Seine Bight resident, Arthur Williams, has been known to be vocal on social media on various issues. Many times, he has condemned the Belize Police Department which his very own brother commands. Tonight, however, Williams may have gone too far after posting derogatory words against a police officer in the village. He has since been detained by Police and according to the Commissioner he will not stand in the way or deter officers from doing their job.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “I was notified indeed that there were some complaints and it reached me and I said to the police if it is that he had violated the law then you must do what needs to be done. The fact that you are the brother of the commissioner does not make you immune from liability if you break the law and I think that the police officers did detain him and he was to be charged. I have seen some of the video footage that he had posted on social media and I myself find them to be very offensive and so the police just need to do what needs to be done. I can tell you that even me sometimes he blasts me too but that’s the nature of him he’s my mother’s child I cannot disown him he continues to be my brother.”

Williams had multiple posts on Facebook against the Police Corporal which up to news time were still on his timeline
