The Court’s Ceilings Came Crashing Down

Urgent repairs – at least for the short-term – are necessary after a part of the ceiling of the Supreme Court Building in Belize City came apart overnight. The ceiling, which was compromised because of Hurricane Lisa on November 2, caved in due to recent rains over the past three weeks. The damaged ceiling crashed onto the flight of stairs, which connect the second-floor courtrooms. It’s a situation that could have been worse as Giovanna Moguel found out today.
