The Feinstein Group Files Lawsuit Against Talk Show Host Vaughan Gill

PUP’s Vaughan Gill has joined Tracy Panton on the list of persons being sued by the Feinstein Group. Michael Feinstein is demanding an apology from Gill, one of the long-time hosts of “The Whip”. The host of the PUP-aligned morning show is being accused of making statements that are untrue. According to Feinstein’s attorney, Glenn D. Godfrey, during the show, which was broadcast on Wednesday, October 27, comments Gill made suggested that Feinstein quote “engaged in unlawful conduct by offering bribes to ministers and….[Feinstein] did not follow due process in obtaining environmental clearance for the construction of the causeway, which is a component of one his current undertaking[s].” Unquote. Not only are the comments untrue nor an honest opinion, Godfrey says that they are defamatory and quote “have caused serious and irreparable damage to [Feinstein]’s reputation and has lowered his estimation in the eyes of the public” End quote. Feinstein is demanding that Gill write an apology, to be approved prior to publication, which would enjoy the same level of coverage the defamatory statements Gill is accused of making. Failing an apology, proceedings against Gill will start. This follows a similarly worded letter from Godfrey to UDP area representative, Tracy Panton, who was also asked to apologise for comments she made to another media house.
