We begin tonight with some happy news for two families. The New Year brought several bundles of joy at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH). The first was born to 24-year-old, Joezelle Estrada. The Belize City resident delivered her baby boy at 9:39 am on New Year’s Day. The infant came into this world weighing seven pounds and three ounces. And the first female child to be born at the KHMH was baby Shaya. She is the first child of Shala Smith, who along with Estrada, says that she feared COVID the most during pregnancy. Hipolito Novelo reports.
