The KHMH’s Chief Executive Officer, Chandra Nisbet-Cansino has also provided an update on the facility’s medical supplies. It comes more than a week after healthcare workers raised the concern, which is a challenge at other public hospitals across the country. Workers also were upset over unfavorable working conditions, lack of resources, and insufficient pay. Nisbet- Cansino says the hospital has been able to resolves those issue.
Chandra Nisbet Cansino, Chief Executive Officer, KHMH: “Yes we are challenged with supplies. We have been receiving more supplies. I think probably the tender cycle for this year is starting to kick in and so we hope to see that improvement continue. Well we have our Radiology Unit and yes indeed we had the CT-scan. We do all our X-rays, all our fluoroscopy, all of the other imaging here but indeed the CT-scan is an area that we’re still trying to, we’re trying to get a CT-scan machine. We had a tendering process and that is now going to the final subcommittee of the Board actually this afternoon so we hope to see a decision made on where and what CT-scan Karl Heusner will get in the very near future.”
