The Embassy of Mexico in Belize launched an art exhibition called “Rodando de Mexico a Belice”. The exhibition showcases works of art from thirty-five prominent Mexican artists with the bicycle as its focus. It’s because this is a popular mode of transport in both countries. According to the Cultural Director at the Mexican Cultural Institute, Alberto Salamanca Segoviano, the bicycle is used as a symbol to demonstrate similarities between the Mexican and Belizean Cultures.
The art pieces are showcased at the Mexican Cultural Institute located at the corner of Barrack Road and Wilson Street in Belize City.
