The Reality of Climate Change

Yesterday we told you of the twenty six million US dollars that will be invested in the eastern and southern Caribbean states with the objective of combatting climate change and minimizing the effects.  Belize will see no part of that investment directly but will benefit indirectly as a part of the CARICOM region.  Love News spoke with Dr Mark Bynoe, the Deputy Director for the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre about the policies and actions that can be taken to battle the impacts of climate change.

DR MARK BYNOE

Around the world, there are the skeptics who believe that climate change does not exist and therefore monies should not be channelled into these very same programs.  We asked Dr Bynoe what would be his response to such critics.

DR MARK BYNOE

The monies under the agreement signed yesterday in Belmopan where the 5Cs is headquartered are Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname.
