The search continues for Kyle Latchman

It’s been over a week since American National, 23-year-old Kyle Latchman, went missing and his family is now fearing the worst. Latchman, whose father was killed last week, left home on Boxing Day in the company of two men and has not been heard from since. Latchman’s 61-year-old father, Emert Flowers, was gunned down at his home on Racecourse Street, and police believe it may have been due to his son’s criminal connections. Latchman’s girlfriend, 25-year-old Deidra White, spoke to Love News today about his disappearance and says their efforts to locate him have been fruitless. According to her, the family now believes Latchman was killed. They are now desperate to find his body.

Deidra White, Girlfriend of Missing Man: “Kyle mentioned nothing to me. If Kyle was having any problems with anybody Kyle would have at least told me even if he didn’t tell me he would let his mother know, his sister know, his auntie. He never had any problems with anybody, none at all. Literally no problem.”

Reporter: Do you believe that his father’s murder is connected to maybe his disappearance ?

Deidra White, Girlfriend of Missing Man: “Hmm honestly. It’s connected. It’s connected. I pray. I just pray even if he’s not alive we just want closure to bring home his body you know ? I pray every night praying to God at least let us have closure at least. Even – I don’t know what to say honestly. I’m hurt. I’m just literally hurt. His friends – his so called friends because they aren’t his friends. I won’t call names but they know who they are and even if they know that they have something to do with this which is I know they do I just want them to come out and at least tell us what happened to Kyle. We just want to find Kyle. His mom is hurt. His sister is hurt, we cry every day and this isn’t Kyle. Kyle would never go that long and not let us know he’s not okay, he will at least reach out to one of us.”

Reporter: Have you guys been searching for him ?

Deidra White, Girlfriend of Missing Man: “Well today we’re going out and taking a search team and we’re going to go search Sandhill and 8 Miles and those other places. They already checked John Smith Road but we didn’t come up with anything.”
