Theft Charge Dropped as Accused Returns Stolen Cellphone, Woman Set Free

A Belize City woman charged with stealing a cellphone is free after the complainant, who is her boyfriend, dropped the charges. Twenty-one-year-old Lea Jean Varro appeared in court charged with a single count of theft. The complainant, Wasani Vasquez told the court that he was dropping the charge because the phone had been returned. With that, the prosecutor withdrew the charge and Varro was free to go.
