Three Guatemalans arrested for public drinking

GUATEMALANS ARRESTED

Three Guatemalan men were arrested and charged after they were engaged in public drinking as well as not respecting social distancing measures enforced by the police. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, stated that this incident occurred around 8pm Saturday in Red Bank Village, Stann Creek District.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, stated that this incident occurred around 8pm Saturday in Red Bank Village, Stann Creek District.

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch: “They came across three persons outside a Chinese establishment who were drinking. Those persons were learnt to be Rene Parham 28 years, Oscar Parham 32 years and Juan Manchame 42 years, all Guatemalan nationals. They were advised of the offence committed and were taken into custody where they have since been arrested and charged for public drinking as well as failing to abide by the regulations in relation to social distancing.”
