Police are investigating a shooting incident in the Belize District that left three men injured last night in Lords Bank Village, Ladyville.  Investigators say the incident came to light shortly before 8:00 p.m. when police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after receiving reports of gunshot victims. Upon arrival, officers observed 24-year-old Alfredo Flores and 19-year-old Giovanni Gillette receiving medical treatment for gunshot injuries.  Initial police investigations revealed that Alfredo Flores, Edgar Flores and Giovanni Gillette had been socializing with several other persons at a residence in Lords Bank Village when an unidentified male approached the front of the yard and opened fire on the group before fleeing the area.  As a result of the shooting, Alfredo Flores and Giovanni Gillette sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they remain hospitalized in critical but stable condition.  Police say a third victim, Edgar Flores, also sustained injuries during the attack but declined medical treatment.  Investigators are now seeking to determine the motive behind the shooting and identify the gunman responsible. No arrests have been reported, and police investigations continue.
