Two women were gagged and bound last night inside their home when a man entered their house on Raccoon Street, Belize City. ACP Joseph Myvett gave preliminary information on this incident.
ACP Joseph Myvette, Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch: “Last night sometime around 9:20 pm police were called to an area on the Raccoon Street Extension to the home of one Doretta Vernon who reported to police that sometime shortly before 9pm whilst herself and another friend were in her home, her home was entered into by a male person armed with a knife who then tied them up and searched the building and in the process a number of personal items were stolen from them. There were not injured during the process. At this point in time police is seeking on person who we believe can assist in this investigation.”
The persons affected in last night’s home invasion are 43-year-old Doretta Marie Vernon and 42-year-old Gloria Henry. Love News understands that the robber got away with two cell phones and two hundred dollars. No one has been arrested in this matter.
