Toledo Police Officers Honored for Exemplary Service

The Belize Police Department held a special ceremony today to honor officers from the Toledo Police Formation. The ceremony was held at the Toledo Sports Complex building. Some officers were honored for exemplary performance in the line of duty, while others were honored for reaching ten years of service or more to the department. Commissioner of Police Chester Williams gave the keynote address at the ceremony, and highlighted the importance of the work officers do. Williams also commended the officers for their contributions in bringing down crimes nationally and highlighted the work the officers have done with respect to murders. He said that with the combined efforts of all police formations, 2023 is shaping up to be the best year for policing in over a decade.

At the ceremony to hand over plaques and certificates were Officer Commanding the Toledo Formation Superintendent Brent Hamilton, Toledo East Area Representative Michael Espat, and Mayor Charles Selgado.
