Toledo Teen Needs Financial Assistance for Medical Care After Being Hit off his Bicycle

A family in San Antonio, Toledo needs your help after a thirteen-year-old boy was seriously hurt in a road incident in the community almost three weeks ago. On August fourteen, Emiliano Sho Junior was riding his bike to the family’s farm with his father when he was hit by motorcyclist. As Senior Correspondent Paul Mahung found out today, the teen has almost no memory of what happened, has significant challenges performing basic functions and remains confined to his bed.

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: A teenager remains bedridden and in need of assistance as a result of a motorcycle incident in Rural Toledo. A concerned, caring and emotional mother Caselina Sho spoke to Love News in San Antonio Village Toledo of the unfortunate incident of their 13-year-old son Emiliano Sho Jr who was riding his bicycle to his father’s farm.

Caselina Sho, Mother: “I’m so sorry about my son on that day because his face is so swollen and he has a broken shoulder and a broken hip and he gets swelling when he wants to urine it’s so swollen right there and it’s so painful when he wants to use the bathroom he can’t and he has to cry but I can’t do anything that is what I tell him. When he wants to eat he can’t eat, his tongue is so swollen and I just give him like oats, I just drain the oats and I give him with a spoon in his mouth but now I’m using straws for him. I just bought Cerelac and milk that is how I’m feeding him right now and he can’t sit down, I just have to take care of him. Everything I do for him, I just wipe him on his bed and that is how I clean him. I just wipe him and he told me that his back is so painful but I tell him that I can’t help him. And he can’t turn because his hip is broken.”

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Now I could imagine your family like yourself and your husband need a lot of help so would you want to kindly let us know how people can help ? 

Caselina Sho, Mother: “Yes I am requesting, I really need help for my family because right now I can’t go anywhere.”

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: The parents additionally expressed strong concern that at the time of the incident injured Emiliano Jr was transported to PG Hospital and then to Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga but was not admitted and sent back to Punta Gorda Hospital where after five days he was released and sent home where he remains totally bedridden and requires special care from his elderly parents. Love News was informed that police investigation continues.
