Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism: “It’s estimated that we’re going to put on an additional 450 to 500 rooms in Belize City soon. And Golden Bay is putting on an additional 50 rooms. You have Grand Resort with a few rooms there then you have a development by Chetumal Street and then I understand another development should be on the Northern Highway.”

Statistics show that Belize’s tourism sector is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, with 2024 marking a record-breaking year for overnight tourist arrivals, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. It is due to this growth that an increased demand for accommodations across the country has surfaced.
