The Belize City Council is undertaking a project at the tourist village that will see the entrance of the tourist area moved closer to the area of the Ministry of Education building. There is a plan for a makeover of the area and the council is currently looking at what it would cost.
Bernard Wagner, Mayor of Belize City: “Our City planner and our city engineer already did costing for that project, that project will run us in the neighborhood of $50,000. We sent out the tender for it, I’m not sure who applied to get the job. “
