Tracy Taegar-Panton Seeks Mediation with Shyne Barrow Ahead of Court Hearing

Tracy Taegar-Panton of the Alliance for Democracy has sent a second letter via her attorney asking for mediation with Moses Shyne Barrow.  This second correspondence comes a few days before the court hearing set for Friday, February 14.  In this court hearing, allegations of contempt against Panton would be heard with urgency.  The contempt allegations surround her insistence on referring to herself as the UDP Leader as well as the continuous use of the UDP name and colours.  Back in November, the court had ruled that the status within the UDP should have been reverted to how it was prior to Panton’s October 20 convention.  In the second letter, dated, February 10, Panton’s attorney is asking that mediation be done, and that Friday’s court hearing be adjourned.  It additionally asks that no statements be made in the media or on any public platform as to who is the substantive or interim leader.  Finally, Panton is asking that a public announcement be made immediately of the agreement to mediate.  The best information to Love News is that Barrow is no longer willing to undertake mediation.
