A head on collision on the Hummingbird Highway has left four persons hospitalized with varying degree of injuries. Cayo Correspondent Pauline Tillett has the story.
Pauline Soberanis Tillett, Cayo Correspondent: “A traffic incident some time after eleven this morning on the Hummingbird highway near the Belmopan garbage dumpsite left two males and two females injured. Love News understands that the driver, William Vega, was driving his Toyota car from Duck Run 1 Spanish Lookout heading to Dangriga. Upon reaching the dump site he got a call while on his phone and apparently not seeing a trailer truck coming he collided into the truck. Vega along with his three passengers were rushed to the Western Regional Hospital where at this time they’re admitted with various degrees of injuries. The driver, William Vega, suffered various degrees of burns. Love News understands that one of the female passengers Diana Pou suffered a broken pelvic bone and injuries to the top of her head. Police continue to their investigation.”
