Tonight, a family in southern Belize is mourning the loss of a minor who died after she was hit by a truck in Hopkins Village, Stann Creek. Around 12:30, six-year-old, Makaya Magdaleno left her sister’s residence to go to her home which is a stone’s throw away to have lunch. According to police, the infant-one student was riding her bicycle on Karuba North Main Street when a collision with a gas truck occurred. The truck was being driven by 49-year-old, Alwyn Buezo.
