Tragic Discovery: Santa Elena Man Found Dead in San Ignacio, Two Detained

A young man of Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, was found dead this morning in the twin town of San Ignacio.  Police were alerted by a passerby at around two thirty this morning.  Upon responding to the scene at the corner of 15th and Baca Streets, they found 21-year-old, Cory Anthony Cruz lying motionless in an open lot.  According to the Police blotter, Cruz had an injury to the right side of his forehead.  The body was taken to the Belmopan morgue due to a lack of space at the San Ignacio morgue.  Love News understands that the investigation led to the detention of two residents of Roaring Creek Village, who were found in possession of the victim’s motorbike.  Up to news time tonight, no charges have been levied.
