Tragic Road Incident Claims Life of Intoxicated Driver in Orange Walk

Another fatal road incident occurred earlier in the day, yesterday, in the Orange Walk District.  At around two thirty yesterday afternoon, 53-year-old, Terencio Cal of Palmar Village, was killed when he lost control of the Ford pickup truck he was driving.  Indications are that Cal was inebriated as he traveled from August Pine Ridge to Orange Walk Town.  Upon reaching the entrance of Trinidad Village, Cal lost control of the pickup truck, swerved off the road, and flipped multiple times.  He was flung from the vehicle, and sustained severe head injuries.  Love News understands that the vehicle was the property of Gentrac Company.  Cal’s body was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital morgue where it now awaits a post mortem examination.
