Trio Found Guilty of School Burglary

Three of five persons charged in connection with the of burglary of Salvation Army Primary School in which 13 computers were stolen, were found guilty and sentenced today by Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser. They are 20-year-old, Juan Bardalez, 19-year-old, Charles Middleton and 44-year-old, Elmer Linarez.  Bardalez was sentenced to 2 years. His sentence is to run consecutively with any other sentence he is serving. Middleton, who is remanded on a charge of murder, was found guilty of burglary and not guilty of handling stolen goods. He was sentenced to 3 years. Linarez, who was not in court, was found guilty of handling stolen goods and sentenced to 2 years in absentia. 19-year-old, Dixon Montero was found not guilty of burglary and not guilty of handling stolen goods. The charges against the fifth defendant, Cruz Allen, were withdrawn. The incident occurred on July 8, 2011.
