Police have ruled out the suspicion of carbon monoxide poisoning as a factor in the triple death which occurred in San Pedro Town this past weekend. The bodies of three Moroccan natives with American nationality were found inside a hotel room at the Royal Kahal Resort on Coconut Drive. The three women, identified as 24-year-old, Imane Mallah; 26-year-old, Wafae El-Arar, and 23-year-old Koutar Naqqad. A second angle being looked at by investigators is the possibility of drug consumption. While a post mortem has been conducted, Police Commissioner Chester Williams says the results were inconclusive.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “We’re doing as much as we can. There are some rumors that I could have been carbon monoxide may have cause their deaths. We did that test yesterday and the test did not reveal anything. Another one will be done today. And the test was done by the National Fire Service and the Department of Environment. We were anxiously awaiting the post mortem results and that is out already. The post mortem was conducted I think on Monday and the result of the post mortem was that they died from pulmonary edema meaning that there is excess fluids in the lungs. That does not tell us anything so the pathologist did take samples both stomach content and other stuff so they will now send that abroad for toxicology testing. We’re hoping that the result is going to come back as quickly as possible so we will be able to known what, if anything, they digested resulted in their death. I think the test on the gummies should be done very shortly. We have the capability to test here for different drugs so that is going to be done. The first thing came to my mind basically based on how the scene was the issue of Fentanyl. Fentanyl is something that kills you very very quickly. Now I’m not saying that that is the case but that is something that came to my mind and we have to keep an open mind. I’ve heard testimonies from the relatives of the deceased persons and in some instances I’m hearing that one of the young ladies does not drink, does not consume drugs and we have to respect how those people feel so I’m not going to say anything to offend and rather wait until we get a definitive cause of death before we conclude in terms of that. But we continue to do as best as we can to be able to determine exactly what took place that led to the deaths of these three young women.”
Love News understands that the families of the three women are now awaiting the transportation of the bodies to their hometown in the USA./
